Sixth leg: the deadlines after dispatch

The last leg starts at the carrier's counter and ends when you confirm receipt. Its numbers are mostly deadlines: how long tracking can stay quiet, and how long you have to complain.

Tracking gaps the help centre warns about

Tracking appears on the Parcel page under Tracking Details, and the number also works on 17TRACK or the carrier's own site. Sugobuy warns of two silent periods: some lines show nothing for about three days after dispatch, and after the first scan the next update can take three to ten days. A status reading that the plane has entered the port usually means the parcel is in transit or waiting for its first scan in the destination country.

Some US lines say outright that tracking stays empty for about five days after dispatch. None of this is a reason to contact support in the first week.

At the door: remark, refuse or sign

Sugobuy's receipt notice is short and strict. Look the carton over while the courier waits; if it is dented or torn, note that on the delivery slip or decline it. Spot the damage only after the courier leaves? Keep every bit of packaging as it arrived and mail Sugobuy the invoice, your photos and any other proof inside two business days; it then pursues the local postal operator. Signing without comment closes the transport stage, after which Sugobuy takes no responsibility for damage in transit.

Fragile goods are a special case: whatever extra packing they had, claims cover loss only, not damage.

Evidence Sugobuy asks for inside 72 hours

Missing, damaged or wrong items must reach customer service within 72 hours of receipt. Sugobuy lists the evidence it needs for each case:

  • Damage or large stains: photos of the damaged area.
  • Wrong size: a photo of the size label; without a label it cannot be checked.
  • Wrong style: a photo of the whole item.
  • Missing items: the order number, the item list, the unpacked parcel, the goods, and the parcel on a scale.
  • Wrong weight: weigh the parcel before opening it.

Weighing before opening is the step most buyers skip and the one that settles missing-item claims fastest.

Bounced parcels: free resend inside China, paid from abroad

If a parcel fails the security check inside China and comes back to the warehouse, Sugobuy contacts you and sends it again for free. If it fails abroad, for example refused at customs, unclaimed or sent to an unknown address, the re-delivery cost is yours. Several lines add their own terms in the estimator, such as no return to China and a fee to re-deliver from an overseas warehouse, so a correct house number matters.

Compensation with and without insurance

For an insured parcel that is lost, damaged, delayed or seized, Sugobuy refunds the real freight plus what the goods were really worth, up to the sum insured. Without insurance, a lost or damaged parcel is paid by the route's own standard. Sugobuy lists seven cases with no compensation, among them force majeure, items confiscated for breaking import rules, a box delivered intact and at full weight but with damaged contents, and claims not made before the inquiry period ends.

For goods that fail after some use, Sugobuy will act as your agent with the seller under the product warranty, without a service fee, as long as you have proof of purchase and the warranty card; you pay the return postage.

How refunds travel back

Refunds for cancelled or returned orders land in your Sugobuy balance. Withdrawing them takes two to three working days to an Alipay or WeChat balance and three to ten working days to an international card or a Chinese bank card, Sugobuy's own processing included. After receipt, confirm it on the Parcel page; that closes the order.
